Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You Lord for today. I wonder if who ever first coined the phrase 'thank God it's Friday ' was really, truly thankful to God for the 'day'...? Just what exactly was going through their mind...? I believe that every day is a gift. One thing is for sure:
No one knows how many days they have on this earth in this life. We could walk out our front door any time and never make it back home. That possibility is definitely there. I know many people who never made it back home and I'm certain that when they left that last time they weren't thinking about eternity.
We live in such a sick, mean, cruel world that has deserved judgment for some time now. In my opinion we're living in overtime and the game could end at any moment on the next score.
Lord, what are You waiting for...? What else needs to happen...?
Lord, I want to make the most of this overtime. I want to make a difference. I recognize that all I have is a gift from You. And I have been blessed abundantly, exceedingly Lord.
Father God. I give my all to You. Everything I have, everything I do is Yours Lord. And I thank You for today my King. I thank You for every day. And in Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
