Prayer for Joey

Today I would like to pray for a boy named Joey. He is about to turn 18 years old on December 30. He is faced with being put out of the house by his parents because he has a drinking and drug addiction. They have tried for years to help bring his addictions under control but he simply refuses any help. He has known for some time that if he doesn't change his ways by the time he's 18 that he is no longer going to be allowed to live in the family home. And he doesn't care. It is a very sad, sad situation. He refuses to seek help voluntarily. His behavior has literally torn his family apart. Prayer Warriors, please join me in lifting up Joey and his family.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You Lord for protecting Joey from serious harm so far. And thank you for the love and patience of his family. Lord, he needs healing. He needs the change of heart that can only come form the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit. I believe it can still happen. Lord, let this Christmas be the Christmas where Joey's eyes are truly opened to the consequences of his choices and behavior.

I pray Lord that there be a true change of his heart. That he be filled with the Love of Heaven. I pray Lord that his changed life will be an inspiration to others like him who are lost in the World. Father God, I stand in the gap for Joey. There's still time for him to accept you and find peace, joy, and happiness. I pray that he not take another step down the dark road.

Let him walk in the light of salvation. Lord, send someone into his life before it's too late. And Father lift up his family, especially his poor mother. She has suffered more than anyone seeing her son turn bad.

Lord Jesus, You can do all things. Have Mercy and Grace on Joey. Change his heart Oh God. Father I pray these things in your Son Jesus' Name.

Amen.
